Hawkesbury Panthers Supports Local Community
April 6 - Hawkesbury Panthers continued to support the local community yesterday as it donated funds to two local sporting organisations.
The Colo Soccer Football Club and Hawkesbury City Junior Rugby League Club were the recipients of cheques totalling $19,000 from Hawkesbury Panthers, which were presented by Chairman Laurie Duffy, Honorary Treasurer Alan Davies and Directors Bob Martin and Bob Lovering.
Duffy was pleased that Hawkesbury Panthers were able to continue supporting local sporting groups.
"Our club was originally started so that we were able to support local sporting groups," he said.
"It's great that we can continue to support and assist them," he added.
Both Colo Soccer Club and Hawkesbury City Junior Rugby League Club agreed that the donation would provide a tremendous boost to their clubs.
This donation followed Hawkesbury Panthers' record donation last December of $30,000 to the San Miguel Family Centre at Kurrmond.
